Cycling in Myanmar
Bike travel is a great way to discover Myanmar’s many
mysteries, including the picturesque countryside and off-
the-beaten-path sites. Best of all, cycling Myanmar lets
you control your own pace of travel and really take in the
local sites and lifestyles. Burmese locals are friendly to
cyclists; you’ll likely hear warm welcomes of ‘mingalaba!’
as you pedal past. You’ll feel your senses awakened as
you breathe in the fresh air and witness the stunning
scenery in the cities and countryside. At All Asia Tours, we
can advise you on the best places in Myanmar for a cycling
tour, and we are happy to take care of all of your travel
arrangements in advance.
Myanmar offers a bounty of beautifully diverse landscapes including rolling hills, charming rural villages, dense emerald-green foliage, and a scattering of fascinating colonial sites. Bagan’s vast plains are an excellent place for exploring the city’s thousands of ancient temples. Here, you’ll find a scattering of dirt paths that zigzag past the ruins. Picturesque Inle Lake is another delightful cycling destination with lovely floating gardens and colorful stilt houses that should not be missed.
You’ll want to use a sturdy, high-quality bike since a number of Burmese roads and streets are a bit rugged. You can either bring your own bicycle or rent one, and you will want to bring a helmet from home. November through February tends to be the best time to ride through Myanmar, depending on your preferences. By this time, the monsoon rains have subsided, and temperatures are not terribly hot.

"Fantastic experience, very well organized in every detail. Vietman is not rich of historical sites, but a country that entertain the visitor with all aspects of their culture. More than a tour it has been a holiday. I enjoyed a lot entertainment as painting mask and cooking lessons."
